Green Tomato Bread

Two Sundays ago, some of the tomatoes were still green and I had no idea what to do it them. I quickly googled green tomato recipes and came across this intriguing recipe for Green Tomato Bread. All of the review said that it sounded weird but tasted really good. Well, I was curious enough to try it. My first time I followed the original recipe but halved it because I only wanted to make 1 loaf instead of 2. So here it is...



Since the first batch of bread was devoured within 48 hours, I decided to make another batch, with less sugar. This time I didn't have any more green tomatoes so I used red ones and slightly more.

The result was not as good as the first one. It was sweet enough, but a bit too moist and not as crusty. So I think the next time I will use 1/2 to 3/4 cups of sugar, and ONLY green tomatoes not red.

I booked a leisure day trip for our second day in Labuan Bajo via Traveloka . When I say leisure, I meant a non-diving trip. We have a live onboard trip booked for the 3rd to the 5th day but that one is a diving trip covering different places and adventures so we tried to cram the other must-visits of Komodo National Park in one day.
